Who we are: We're an early-stage talent-intelligence product for recruiters and search firms. The one-line pitch: others help you search — we watch the firms you name and tell you who moved, was promoted, left or arrived, ranked by how close they sit to the money. Flat monthly pricing, unlimited seats. We're early. The product is live and we're now going to market: our immediate goal is landing our first paying customers and design partners. You'd be our first marketing hire — not executing someone else's playbook, but writing it with us. We'll share the company name and site with applicants we shortlist. What you'd own: - Content — writing for recruiters and search-firm owners: the problems they actually have, in their language. Long-form pieces on our blog, maybe a newsletter down the line. Quality over volume. (No social posting for now — we're deliberately starting with owned channels.) - Email / outbound — small, targeted, well-researched sequences to recruiting firms. Not spray-and-pray. We'd rather send 30 great emails than 3,000 templated ones. - Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) — this one matters a lot to us. When someone asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity "what tools tell me when engineers become available?" or "alternatives to [category tools]," we want to be in the answer. You'll research how these engines source answers and build the content/citation footprint to get us there early, while the category is still winnable. - Feedback loop — you'll talk to us weekly about what's landing and what isn't, and we'll shape the product story together. What we're looking for: - You've marketed B2B SaaS before, ideally to a niche professional audience (recruiting, sales, legal, finance — anywhere the buyer is a practitioner). - You write well in English, in your own voice. Our audience smells generic content instantly. - You're curious about how LLM search/answers work, or already have opinions about it. - You want a long-term engagement with one client you go deep on — not a portfolio slot. We're offering ongoing monthly work with growing scope, not a one-off gig. What this is not: - Not an agency engagement. If you'd be reselling us a junior's time, please don't apply. - Not a volume content-farm job. Ten pieces that recruiters actually share beat a hundred that nobody reads. How to apply — read this part carefully: 1. Start your proposal with the word PERISCOPE so we know you read this far. 2. Re-read the "Who we are" section above, then answer in your own words, in 3 sentences max: what does this product do, and who would pay for it? Don't quote the post back to us. 3. Give us one concrete idea: a specific question a recruiter might ask ChatGPT or Gemini where a product like ours should be the answer — and one thing you'd create or do to make that happen. Rough is fine; specific is required. 4. Link one thing you've written that you're proud of (not a portfolio homepage — one piece). 5. Optional but strongly weighted: a 1–2 minute Loom/video walking us through your idea from #3. Proposals that ignore these steps, open with "Dear Hiring Manager, I have read your project description carefully," or are obviously generated will be declined without reply. We're hiring a partner and we'll treat you like one — starting with actually reading what you send. Engagement: start with a paid 2-week trial project (a small content piece + an AEO research memo), then monthly retainer if we're both happy.
