Functionality-Driven Prototype Redesign

Descripción de la oferta
I have an existing physical product prototype that works, but not as smoothly or reliably as it should. I’m ready to take it back to the drawing board and refine the mechanics, tolerances, and material choices so the next iteration feels production-ready instead of experimental. You’ll start from my current CAD files, photos, and a short video walkthrough that highlights the pain points I’m experiencing. After reviewing them, I need your engineering insight to propose and model improvements that boost overall performance without over-complicating the design. Typical tools on my side are SolidWorks and Fusion 360, so delivering native files in either of those formats (plus STEP for compatibility) will keep our collaboration seamless. Key deliverables: • Updated 3-D model reflecting all functional changes • Exploded views or annotated drawings that clearly explain the revisions • A concise bill of materials noting any new parts or alternative materials you recommend • A brief validation memo outlining why each change should solve the current issues and how it will be tested in the next build Once I approve the revised files, I’ll send them straight to my prototype shop for a quick turn. If they raise questions, I’d appreciate a round of follow-up tweaks so everything bolts together exactly as intended. If you thrive on practical, hands-on design challenges and enjoy squeezing better performance out of real-world hardware, let’s get started.
