My Shopify homepage must reach a solid Grade A on both mobile and desktop when tested on GTmetrix. Right now the site lags behind because of slow loading times and some unrefined JavaScript and Liquid snippets. I already rely on three third-party helpers—an image-compression app, a caching app, and an SEO plugin—but those alone are not getting me across the finish line. SEO LAB - SEO OPTIMISER GPT LAB The job is focused on: • Squeezing every millisecond out of the initial load, render and Time to Interactive • Cleaning, deferring or replacing bulky scripts without breaking existing functionality • Making sure any remaining images, fonts and CSS are served in the most efficient way possible, fully compatible with my current plugins • not breaking the template or design Deliverables I will accept: 1. Optimised theme files (Liquid, JS, CSS) uploaded to a duplicate theme, ready for publish 2. A before-and-after GTmetrix report (mobile and desktop) proving a Grade A score 3. Brief, clear notes on the key changes so I can maintain them after launch All visual design, layout and SEO meta data must stay intact. Please be comfortable working inside Shopify’s theme editor, using best-practice performance tools such as Lighthouse, WebPageTest, lazy-loading techniques and modern asset compression. A quick turnaround is ideal; once the Grade A is confirmed, the project is complete.
