We are moving our entire Microsoft Dynamics GP environment into Dynamics 365 Business Central and need an expert who can handle both the data lift and the functional build-out, while driving the bus on the project as a whole. Scope of data migration All historical Financial, Customer, and Inventory data must come across accurately—chart of accounts, open and closed transactions, customer histories, item records, serial/lot details, the works. We expect full reconciliation between GP and Business Central after migration, with clear audit trails and validation reports. Required custom functionality Business Central has to do everything GP did and more. We'll need: • Custom reporting – interactive financial and operational reports surfaced in BC (Power BI or similar is fine, as long as they refresh seamlessly). • Automated workflows – approvals and alerts for purchasing, sales, and month-end close. • Third-party integrations – connect our payroll provider and our CRM through APIs or standard connectors. Tools and approach If you normally rely on RapidStart Services, configuration packages, or AL extensions, great—just outline your plan. Data staging in SQL or Azure is fine as long as security is tight. We also need a rollback strategy in case something goes sideways. Deliverables 1. Detailed migration plan with timeline and checkpoints 2. Clean data loaded and reconciled in Business Central 3. Custom reports, workflows, and integrations live and tested 4. User hand-off: documentation plus a brief training session We are currently utilizing an implementation firm and team, but we need someone to run this from our perspective in house.
