I own Mountaineer Herps, a small West Virginia snake-breeding outfit that focuses on hognose snakes, rosy boas, and carpet pythons. As we gear up for vending shows, I need a single, hand-illustrated logo—absolutely no AI or stock graphics—that will look just as sharp on a business card as it does stretched across a banner or die-cut into stickers. The look I’m after is unmistakably vintage, with a nod to our Appalachian home. Picture the rolling ridges of the Appalachian Mountains forming the backdrop while a tasteful blend of the three snake species we keep winds through the foreground. I’m open to your creative interpretation of how those snakes interact—coiled together, forming the outline of the mountains, or something entirely fresh—as long as each species is recognisable without the design feeling crowded. Colour can stay earthy and muted for that classic heritage feel, but I’ll also need a clean one-colour version for stamps and embossing. All artwork must be fully original, sketched and refined by you; I’ll ask to see initial pencil or ink proofs before you move on to digital inking so I can be sure everything was hand-crafted.
