Hi, I'm launching a small consumer electrical product (a rechargeable heated belt) in the UK and need a manufacturer/contact address for the UKCA documentation, user manual and packaging. I don't want to use my home address. I'm looking at using a business correspondence address from Quality Company Formations. They've confirmed that their address can be used on product packaging, user manuals, compliance documentation and my website, and that they receive and forward physical mail. However, they've added a disclaimer that they can't guarantee it will satisfy every UKCA or product safety requirement, as regulations may require a genuine UK address where authorities can contact me and access technical documentation. To me, this sounds like they're simply being legally cautious rather than saying it isn't suitable. In your opinion, would this type of business correspondence address be acceptable as the manufacturer/importer contact address for UKCA compliance, or would I need to use my own trading premises or registered office, which I don't currently have.
