My Home Assistant instance is fully functional but the visuals lag behind the experience I expect on modern tablets and phones. What I need right now is a polished, responsive interface that feels consistent across both device types. !! We currently have a standard Home Assistant installation. We want it redesigned from scratch with a modern look. We just installed it and haven’t connected any apps or anything else. I bought the tablet as an Android device. It can be used in both landscape and portrait orientation, so it needs to work in both modes. I’ve added the design I liked to the files. My first choice of color is blue. We can use blue and its shades. Initially, I will connect the lights, garage door, front door, camera, water leak sensor, temperature sensor, gas leak sensor, and curtains. I will integrate the garden irrigation systems in the next phase. Scope of work • Re-design and tidy up the existing Lovelace dashboards so navigation is clear and concise. • Refine the overall user interface, trimming unused elements and improving readability. • Create or adjust themes and colour schemes so the look is cohesive day and night. • Verify every change on both tablet and phone screens (Android & iOS) and fine-tune break-points so nothing overlaps or clips. Key tech you’ll likely touch: YAML, Lovelace UI, HACS, custom-card CSS and basic Jinja templating. If you lean on popular toolsets such as Mushroom Cards or the minimalist UI palette, that’s fine as long as the end result remains easy for me to maintain. Deliverables 1. Exportable dashboard and theme YAML files ready for import. 2. A short read-me explaining where you placed custom cards, themes and resources. 3. Confirmation screenshots (or short clips) from both a tablet and a phone. 4. Will provide support regarding its use. 5. Restrictions will apply depending on the user. For users without admin privileges, the Left Menu will remain completely disabled and inaccessible. 6. Kiosk Mode will be enabled. Users will not be able to access any other applications on the tablet. Timeline is tight—I need first visuals almost immediately and expect to sign off the final iteration within a few days, so please be comfortable working at that pace. Once everything is approved, I integrate your files straight into my production instance.
