I need a licensed Idaho Professional Engineer (PE) to design and stamp a small wood-framed loft (mezzanine) floor built inside an existing pre-engineered steel building, so it passes county building inspection. Must be currently licensed to stamp structural drawings in the State of Idaho — please don't bid otherwise. The project: Existing 50' × 30' steel building (Great Western pre-engineered metal building) on a stamped slab-on-grade foundation, in Adams County, Idaho. A builder has planned framing — but no one has engineered — a ~14 ft × 30 ft wood loft inside it (office use, top of floor at 12'). Lumber is already purchased and going up now. Framing as built: 11-7/8" I-joists, LVL beams, doubled 4×4 posts landing on the building's existing poured interior footings, independent of the steel frame. A washer/dryer and office furniture will sit on it. What I need from you (deliverables): Stamped structural drawings + supporting calculations suitable for an Adams County, Idaho building permit and inspection. Verify/size the floor joists, the beams, and the posts for a 40 psf office floor load. Priority item: the front (open-edge) beam spans ~26 ft on posts at each end with no middle support — please confirm the correct beam and post layout for that span. Verify the existing poured footings can carry the added loft loads, and specify any additional footing/pad if needed. Loft will not be tied into steel building at all structurally. What I'll provide: The stamped steel-building drawings (geometry, member sizes, loads, column reactions). The stamped foundation plan (footings, sections, concrete specs). The builder's current loft layout, field measurements, and photos. To bid, please tell me: Your Idaho PE license number (or firm's) and confirmation you can stamp in Idaho. Relevant experience with wood mezzanines/lofts inside steel or metal buildings. Your fee and turnaround time. This is a well-defined, single-structure job — most of the source engineering already exists; I need the loft floor designed and stamped.
