Freelancer Required: Experienced IngramSpark / Lightning Source book developer for Interior Formatting & File Upload Job Description: Seeking an experienced book designer with direct, proven experience formatting and uploading titles to IngramSpark / Lightning Source. Requires preparing my finalized manuscript for print distribution and managing the technical upload/setup process until the files are fully approved. Responsibilities:Format the interior layout for a > 200-page non-fiction book with to professional Ingram standards using their required Adobe products. Format the full print cover jacket created in the official IngramSpark Template Generator. Export and deliver print-ready files fully compliant with IngramSpark’s digital specifications using PDF/X-1a:2001 or PDF/X-3:2002 standards, embedded fonts (no CMYK color graphics). Log into my IngramSpark dashboard to handle the end-to-end setup: double check metadata, keywords, BISAC codes, pricing structures, and uploading the validated files.Monitor the upload status and troubleshoot any automated pre-media or file validation errors if they occur. Qualifications:Portfolio showing past books successfully published on IngramSpark or Lightning Source. Experience with Adobe InDesign (files built in Microsoft Word or basic conversion tools will not be accepted). Understanding of POD (Print on Demand) technicalities: bleed, safety margins, spine width calculations, and barcode requirements.
