Legal Writer: Proofread + On-Page SEO for 10 Attorney Profile Articles (Phoenix) PLEASE READ FULLY. Begin your bid with the word EARNED. Bids without it, or without the three application items at the end, are declined unread. WHO WE ARE Awesome Attorneys (awesomeattorneys.com) is an independent legal-editorial platform profiling leading law firms in major U.S. cities. Our first market — Phoenix personal injury — is written: ten long-form editorial articles, each profiling one Phoenix personal injury law firm. All ten are fact-checked and reviewed for attorney-advertising compliance. THE JOB We are hiring a legal writer for a two-part pass over all ten articles: proofread them to publication standard, then apply on-page SEO from a keyword plan we supply. This is a proofreading and optimization engagement, not a rewrite. The facts and the legal language are locked. 1) PROOFREADING AND QUALITY PASS — grammar, spelling, punctuation, and series-wide consistency (capitalization, number style, heading case); readability improvements; heading hierarchy check (one H1, logical H2/H3). All edits as Word tracked changes. Anything unclear, repetitive, or legally questionable is flagged as a comment, not rewritten. 2) ON-PAGE SEO — using the keyword plan we supply: one focus keyword + 2-4 secondaries per article; title tag (max 60 characters); meta description (150-160 characters); URL slug; H2/H3 keyword alignment where it reads naturally; focus keyword in the first 100 words, one subheading, and 3-5 body mentions (density under 1.5%); image alt-text recommendations; 2-3 internal links with anchor text; 1-2 authoritative external links (courts, State Bar, government data only); FAQ opportunities and schema notes as comments. HARD RULES - NON-NEGOTIABLE - No factual claim may be added, removed, or altered: names, dates, dollar figures, case results, review counts, credentials, office locations. - Legal disclaimers, ethics-rule citations, and attorney-credential attributions are locked — even where you believe you know a better formulation. Concerns go in comments. Compliance review is handled separately by outside ethics counsel; you are not being engaged for legal opinions. - Never insert "specialist," "specializes," "expert," or "expertise" for any firm or attorney. Approved phrasing: focuses on, concentrates in, handles. - Superlatives ("best," "top," "#1") appear only in the publication's own editorial voice - never as a firm's claim. - No AI filler copy. No new paragraphs of substantive content. DELIVERABLES 1) Ten tracked-changes .docx files 2) One SEO metadata sheet covering all ten articles: keywords, title tags, meta descriptions, slugs, link and alt-text recommendations 3) One-page summary of recurring issues YOU ARE A FIT IF - You write or edit legal content professionally: law-firm websites, attorney profiles, legal publications, or bar-association content - Strong American-English proofreading; fluent with Word tracked changes and comments - Proven on-page SEO for legal, medical, financial, or other YMYL content - A plus: JD or paralegal background, or working familiarity with attorney-advertising rules (and why "specialist" is a regulated word) TO BID 1) Start your bid with the word EARNED 2) Attach 2-3 legal writing or editing samples (attorney profiles or law-firm content preferred) 3) In 3-4 sentences: how would you SEO-optimize an attorney profile without changing a single fact?
