I’m kicking off a series of projects that centre on LabWare- and STARLIMS-based environments and need an experienced solution engineer who can step in and keep things moving from day one. The work spans the full implementation lifecycle—business process analysis, detailed workflow configuration and the hands-on integrations that tie our systems together. Here’s the landscape you’ll be walking into: • Workflows in scope: Synthesis, Formulation and Analytical functions. You’ll be mapping current lab processes, spotting efficiency gaps and translating them into optimised digital workflows inside the chosen platform. • Tech stack: REST APIs and SQL sit at the heart of our data exchange layer, so fluency there is essential. Expect to design and script data migrations, move legacy records and validate that everything reconciles correctly. • Integration focus: instruments, ERP and reporting tools must all talk to the LIMS/ELN cleanly—your job is to architect and test those touchpoints, documenting as you go so the hand-off to operations is painless. I value clear, proactive communication; you’ll be working alongside chemists, analysts and IT leads, so the ability to translate technical decisions into lab-speak (and vice-versa) is crucial. If you’ve also tackled cloud-based SaaS deployments or broader digital-transformation initiatives in pharma, chemicals, materials or consumer goods, that perspective will be a bonus. Deliverables will be agreed per milestone but typically include: 1. Process maps and configuration specifications 2. Validated workflow builds inside LabWare or STARLIMS 3. Integration scripts/connectors with test evidence and rollback plans 4. Migration reports confirming data fidelity 5. User-facing documentation and knowledge-transfer sessions The engagement is freelance and flexible; I can scale hours up or down as project phases demand.
