Descripción de la oferta

I need an engaging instructor to run two to three live, interactive Zoom classes each week for a 9th-grade learner beginning their computer-science journey. The course should open with the fundamentals of computer systems—hardware, software, and how they interact—before moving into logic and control structures. From there we will branch into structured Java, Python basics, modular design, and, finally, simple mobile game or app projects built in an online compiler. Classes must be highly participatory: plenty of screen-sharing, live coding, quick polls, and short problem-solving breaks that let the student test ideas immediately. Each concept should connect back to real-life decision making so the student can see how data and logic inform everyday choices and future careers. The overarching goals are clear: • Strengthen problem-solving through data analysis. • Build technical confidence for college-level CS or entry-level tech roles. • Create a solid launchpad toward AP Computer Science. To keep us on track, please provide: 1. A brief weekly outline sent every Sunday. 2. Hands-on exercises and mini-projects with solutions. 3. A concise progress note at the end of each month highlighting wins and next steps. If you thrive on live interaction, can make code fun, and feel comfortable teaching via Zoom, let’s talk.
