On our wedding day I would like a talented painter present to capture the two of us in a single, realistic oil portrait. The emphasis should remain firmly on the couple—no need to render the entire venue; any surroundings can be kept minimal so the eye goes straight to us. Here is what I have in mind: • Style: true-to-life realism, faithful to our features and attire. • Medium: traditional oil paint on canvas; please bring all materials and an easel you’re comfortable working with. • Composition: tight focus on bride and groom. A subtle wash or soft hint of scenery is fine, but please avoid detailed backgrounds that could distract. We’ll set aside a well-lit corner during the reception where you can work without interruptions yet still feel the atmosphere. I’m happy to pose briefly for initial sketches and photos, after which you may continue painting throughout the evening and finish refining the piece in your studio if necessary. Final delivery should be a ready-to-hang canvas; a high-resolution photo of the completed artwork for sharing online would be appreciated as well.
