Descripción de la oferta

Limited Scope Local Counsel Needed — Active Federal Case, D.P.R. I am seeking a Puerto Rico-barred attorney admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico for a limited scope local counsel role in an active federal civil case. The case involves a pending motion for reconsideration with a court-protected transition deadline of July 24, 2026, and is part of a constellation of related proceedings based in Washington, D.C. Counsel will review and approve filings for local rule compliance and legal sufficiency, with all substantive drafting provided by the client's D.C. legal team as a starting point. The role carries minimal time commitment. Flat monthly retainer or per-filing fee structure available. The case portfolio is institutionally credentialed and Congress adjacent, with engagement from the Government Accountability Office and senior federal officials. Opposing counsel in parallel D.C. proceedings are drawn from major national firms. Potential for additional engagement on related matters if this relationship proceeds well, including a qui tam action currently under active DOJ review. This is also an ideal opportunity for an attorney early in their career seeking hands-on federal court experience.
