I’m gearing up for a college-level test and need a tutor who can help me feel confident on both the quantitative and written sections. On the math side the focus is pure test preparation: drilling the kinds of algebra problems that typically appear, analysing my mistakes, and showing me shortcuts that keep the clock on my side. Although the exam is at college level, I’ve noticed that many of the algebra concepts mirror high-school material, so clear explanations of core topics—equations, inequalities, functions, and word-problem set-ups—will be essential. For writing, I’d like guided practice on crafting concise, well-structured essays under timed conditions. Feedback on thesis clarity, paragraph flow, and grammar will help me raise my overall score. The ideal arrangement is a series of online sessions (screen-sharing or digital whiteboard tools are fine) plus targeted homework between meetings: short problem sets, mini-essays, and at least one full-length practice test we can review together.
