I'm looking for someone with excellent Microsoft Word formatting skills to professionally reformat a book manuscript. This is not an editing or proofreading job - I do not want any changes made to the wording. The manuscript is approximately 300 pages and already contains all of the text. I simply want it to look like a clean, professionally formatted book manuscript. The work includes: Applying consistent heading styles throughout the document. Creating a clear visual hierarchy for chapters, sections, and subsections. Improving paragraph spacing, indentation, and overall readability. Removing repeated running headers where appropriate. Correcting formatting issues caused by OCR or PDF conversion (for example, broken paragraphs, incorrect line breaks, or words split across lines), while preserving the original wording. Ensuring fonts, spacing, margins, and page layout are consistent throughout. Preserving footnotes/endnotes, references, quotations, and all existing content. Returning the finished document as a fully editable Microsoft Word (.docx) file using proper Word styles rather than manual formatting. Ideally, I'm looking for someone with experience formatting books, theses, dissertations, or other long-form documents.
