I am architecting a zero-knowledge communications platform and now need a mobile engineer or small team to turn the design into working iOS and Android apps. The goal is absolute privacy: plaintext must never touch persistent memory, messages evaporate on schedule, and media flows peer-to-peer once devices connect. Core security foundations • AES-256 for all symmetric payload encryption • Two-factor authentication (2FA) as the sole login path • No metadata retention beyond what each device locally encrypts Key functional modules to build 1. Encrypted keystroke-level messenger that buffers nothing unencrypted. 2. Timed destruction logic wiping sender, recipient, server cache, and backups in sync. 3. State signalling showing Delivered / Read / Destroyed without exposing identifying data. 4. PAN-based calling where the server only assists the initial handshake before dropping out. 5. Stateless wake-up nudges that can revive a sleeping device without session data. 6. Pure peer-to-peer voice and video (WebRTC or equivalent) plus optional E2E-encrypted SFU for larger conferences. 7. Client-side encrypted file sharing with granular recipient controls. Acceptance criteria • Security review shows zero plaintext in memory after send/receive cycles. • All voice/video packets travel device-to-device or through an E2E-encrypted SFU; none are ever decrypted server-side. • Destruction timer verified across cold restarts and offline periods. • 2FA flow passes repeat penetration testing. You are free to pick the most efficient native toolsets—Swift with CryptoKit on iOS, Kotlin with Jetpack Security on Android, perhaps libsodium or OpenSSL where needed—as long as the above criteria are met and the code remains portable for later desktop expansion.
