I’m preparing a small run of modern furniture and need a set of shop-ready drawings that leave no room for interpretation once the lumber is on the bench. Every piece should reflect a clean, contemporary aesthetic—sleek lines, flush joints, and hardware that disappears into the design—so clarity in the construction documents is critical. What I expect from the finished package: • Fully dimensioned elevations, plans, and sections for each component • Exploded views that flag every joint type, dowel, biscuit, domino, or hidden fastener used • Precise cut lists with board feet and material thicknesses called out • A hardware schedule that names manufacturers or spec numbers where possible • Files delivered in PDF for printing plus the native CAD or SketchUp files for future edits I’ll supply concept sketches, reference photos, and target dimensions the moment we start. As long as the drawings communicate detailed joinery and hardware specifications clearly, I’m flexible on the specific CAD software you use.
