I need a custom-built serving station that will double as a coffee-bar table at catered events. The look has to be clean and unmistakably modern, yet the warmth of real wood is non-negotiable with cladding finishing. I’m after smooth lines, concealed joinery where possible, and a finish that can stand up to frequent wiping without losing its sheen. Here’s what matters most: • Function: it must work as a central serving station—ample counter space, a lower shelf or cabinet for back-stock, and routing for power cords so coffee machines can sit neatly on top. • Aesthetic: minimalist, modern proportions in solid or veneer wood (hardwood or high-grade ply; I’m open to your recommendation) with a uniform stain or clear coat. No rustic distressing or classic trim. • Practicality: knock-down or lightweight framing for easy transport between venues, yet rigid enough to feel premium once assembled.
