Seeking Licensed NC Structural Engineer for Residential Carport Permitting Hello! I am looking for a licensed Structural Engineer in North Carolina to help me finalize an after-the-fact permitting process for my residential property here in Fayetteville. I’ve already invested in a beautiful 20x20 cedar-post carport with a metal roof. It’s a wonderful addition to my home, and now I just need the professional oversight to ensure everything is properly documented and permitted with the city. The structure is currently secured to my existing driveway using four concrete expansion bolts per column, and it has no electrical or plumbing components. What I’m looking for: I have the original manufacturer’s instructions and a clear site plan showing the structure's location relative to my home and property lines. I need an engineer who can review these materials, provide the necessary analysis, and generate the final NC-sealed plans required by the city for permitting. Ideally, you have: A current license to practice as a Structural Engineer in North Carolina. Experience with residential structures or similar outdoor projects.
