I have a phone-shot video recorded at night where the background is almost completely lost in darkness. The people in the foreground are visible enough, but for the investigative work I’m doing I need as much background detail revealed as possible without blowing out the subjects or introducing harsh noise. The source file is of medium quality, straight from the phone—no previous edits—so there’s room to push exposure, gamma and shadow recovery. I’m looking for someone who can professionally lift the dark areas, balance the overall lighting and deliver a cleaned, stable file that still feels natural. Please let me know how you would approach noise reduction and colour correction, the software you prefer (DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.) and roughly how long you’ll need. When you return the enhanced clip, I’d also appreciate a quick before-and-after comparison so I can verify the improvements against my investigative requirements.
