About Arise! Arise! is a faith-based nonprofit in Greeley, Colorado supporting women healing from toxic and narcissistic relationships. This gala is a mission-focused donor cultivation event — not a large-scale production — and is being planned in partnership with an active board fundraising committee. Position Summary Arise! is hiring an independent contractor to manage the logistics and execution of our November 2026 fundraising gala. The strategic concept, program design, and overall vision for the event have already been developed by our internal fundraising committee. This role is focused on turning that plan into a smoothly run event — not on shaping the creative or strategic direction. Key Responsibilities • Vendor sourcing, coordination, and negotiation (catering, decor, rentals) within committee-approved budget and concept • Timeline and logistics management leading up to the event, including a detailed day-of run of show • Guest list and RSVP management, including invitation distribution and response tracking (Zeffy ticketing platform) • Seating arrangement coordination • Silent Auction preparation and execution • On-site event-day coordination: vendor load-in/out, timeline execution, troubleshooting • Regular check-ins with the Arise! fundraising committee to confirm decisions stay within approved scope and budget • Execute sponsor recognition and fulfillment (signage, reserved seating, program acknowledgment) per Arise!'s existing sponsorship packet, coordinating directly with Arise!'s admin assistant, who manages sponsor communications Explicitly Out of Scope • Strategic or creative direction for the event concept, theme, or program (already determined by the fundraising committee) • Fundraising strategy, sponsorship solicitation, or donor cultivation • Final decision-making authority on vendor contracts or spend — all commitments require committee sign-off Ideal Skills & Experience • Proven experience coordinating nonprofit or fundraising events of a similar scale (100–150 guests) • Strong vendor relationships and negotiation skills • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Comfortable executing someone else's plan rather than authoring the plan • Effective, responsive communication with a volunteer committee • Portfolio or references from comparable events required Engagement Details • Contract (1099) position, project-based — not an employee role • Estimated engagement: August through event wrap-up on November 13, 2026, plus a brief post-event debrief • Reports to: Arise!
