I need a robust Jalali calendar add-on for my Odoo installation that can convert dates both from Gregorian to Persian and back again, seamlessly and accurately. The conversion must work everywhere a date is stored or displayed—model fields, search domains, list and form views, reports, automated actions, and API endpoints. Leap-year logic, month length differences, and daylight-saving quirks have to be handled correctly, but I do not require separate time-zone rules; server time is sufficient. Because this touches every core model, the module should install cleanly on Odoo 19 without breaking future upgrades. Clean Python code, XML view overrides, and manifest files are expected, along with unit tests that prove conversions round-trip perfectly for at least the years 1300-1450 (Persian calendar). Deliverables • Complete Odoo module folder, ready to drop into addons • README that explains setup, configuration options, and example RPC calls • Automated tests runnable with odoo-tests or pytest-odoo I will consider the job done when I can: 1. Enter a Persian date in any standard date field and see the correct Gregorian value stored in the database. 2. Export data via CSV or API and have both calendars export consistently. 3. Run the unit test suite with all tests passing.
