I need an Android application that handles the full visitor flow for my facility. At reception I want staff to be able to register a guest either by typing the details in or by scanning a QR code that the guest brings along. The only information that must be captured is the visitor’s name and contact information; photos, ID documents or vehicle make can be added when available but should never block the check-in. Core actions are check-in and check-out on the same device, plus a searchable log that lets me pull up past entries instantly. Basic operations—adding a visitor, viewing today’s list and recording a check-out—must keep working when the device loses connectivity. As soon as the connection is restored the app should push all new records to my server through an encrypted channel and then wipe the local cache. Please design with standard Android architecture in either Kotlin or Java, use a lightweight local database for offline storage, and integrate a reliable QR scanning library such as ZXing or ML Kit. Encryption of data both at rest and in transit is essential. Deliverables: • Production-ready APK and full source code • Setup notes for the server API you expect to call • Brief user guide that covers registration, search, offline behaviour and sync timing I will test by installing the app on a mid-range Android phone, completing ten manual entries and ten QR entries offline, reconnecting, and confirming that all twenty appear on the server with correct timestamps and only the required fields marked as mandatory.
