I need an experienced video restoration and colorization specialist for two old black-and-white videos. The first stage will be a PAID TEST using a 20–30 second section from one of the original videos. The purpose of the test is to evaluate the quality before commissioning the complete restoration and colorization of both videos. The work may include: - Noise, grain and flicker reduction - Stabilization - Improvement of contrast, exposure and visible detail - Careful sharpening without creating artificial or plastic-looking faces - Natural and professional colorization - Stable and consistent colors between consecutive frames - Manual correction of AI artifacts, color bleeding and objects that change color - Preservation of facial identity, expressions and original movement AI tools may be used as part of the workflow, but I am not looking for a basic one-click automatic colorization service. Professional review, correction and manual refinement are required. Please include in your proposal: 1. Relevant before-and-after examples of video restoration and colorization that you personally completed. 2. A short description of your workflow and software. 3. Your price and turnaround time for the paid 20–30 second test. 4. An indicative price per finished minute, or an explanation of how you price the complete project. 5. Confirmation that you can provide the completed test in the best practical resolution supported by the source material. The original material and all resulting files must remain private. They may not be published, shared or used in a portfolio without my written permission. A source clip will be provided privately to shortlisted candidates. I may select more than one shortlisted freelancer for separate paid tests. The freelancer who produces the best result may be hired to complete both videos.
