I need an engineer who can wire up OneSignal push notifications end-to-end for my Lovable web app, which is wrapped as a native iOS build through Median. Users authenticate with email / password, Google, Apple and magic link; whichever method they choose, their Supabase UUID must become the external_user_id in OneSignal so that every notification targets the right person. On first launch the app should ask for all notification permissions in a single prompt, respecting Apple guidelines. From there the flow has to stay in sync with authentication: register the device on login, cleanly remove it on logout, and keep token changes in the background. I have built a custom panel in the admin backend which ties push notifications to site notifications, and also enables custom notifications to all or specific users. The Edge Function should verify the sender’s JWT, hit OneSignal’s REST API with the correct player IDs, and allow me to expand to other topics later without code duplication. When a user taps a notification, Median must deep-link them to the exact page inside the app that matches the payload (chat thread, profile, etc.). No splash screens or empty webviews along the way. Deliverables • OneSignal configuration in Median, including External User ID mapping to Supabase UUID • Front-end code (TypeScript/JavaScript) that handles permission prompt, device registration, login/logout hooks and deep-link routing • README outlining environment variables, build steps and how to test the full flow on TestFlight Acceptance criteria 1. Fresh install → permission prompt appears once, device registers with correct external_user_id. 2. Login/out cycles update OneSignal records accurately (confirmed in dashboard). 3. Edge Function call from Supabase sends a notification that lands on device within 5 s. 4. Tapping the alert opens the intended in-app route without reloading the entire app. If you’ve shipped OneSignal or Supabase push flows before and can demo a working deep link, I’m ready to start immediately.
