Position: Conversational English Tutor (Founding Team) Rate: Fixed at $5.00 per hour Format: 1-on-1 video lessons (Pure Conversation) Target Audience: Adult ESL learners located in Brazil Schedule: 100% Flexible (Open and close your slots whenever you want) About One Talky: One Talky is an upcoming online conversational platform built to help Brazilian students break their language barriers and speak English with confidence. Our students already know basic grammar rules, but they freeze and feel anxious when they try to speak. We focus on real-world, natural dialogue—no rigid grammar textbooks, no complex lesson planning, and no formal curriculum required. Who We Are Looking For: We are seeking empathetic, patient, and highly communicative English tutors (native or fluent C1/C2 level) who can create a comfortable, welcoming environment where students feel safe to practice, make mistakes, and build fluency. Backgrounds in ESL teaching, international exchange, or Psychology are a massive plus! How the Contract & Payment Work (Please read carefully): To ensure maximum flexibility and integrate smoothly with our custom platform, we use a specific hybrid structure for tracking and payouts: 1. Hourly Settings: The contract will be set to a limit of 0 hours per week on this platform. This is because you will NOT use any automatic automatic desktop screenshot tracking software. 2. Automated System Logs: Our custom platform logs track your active teaching time automatically, down to the exact second. 3. Weekly Payments: Every week, our team reviews these system logs and pays your exact accumulated balance manually via Milestones/Bonus releases on the platform. Timeline & Availability: We are forming our founding team of tutors right now by mid-August, which is when our marketing team will officially launch campaigns in Brazil to bring the students. Because of this, there will be a brief waiting period (15 to 30 days) before your first student bookings start appearing. Once live, you will have total autonomy over your schedule and will earn strictly based on the active classes you choose to teach.
