Outbound Phone Engagement Program Manager Position Overview Part-time Hourly + Incentives Sudden Impact Marketing is seeking an experienced Outbound Phone Engagement Program Manager to lead and execute B2B phone engagement initiatives for our clients. This role combines hands-on prospect engagement, team leadership, client communication, reporting, and program ownership. Unlike traditional telemarketing, our phone engagement programs focus on conducting meaningful business conversations with decision-makers, uncovering market intelligence, identifying sales opportunities, building solution awareness, and accelerating sales pipelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for both personal production and the overall success of assigned client programs. Key Responsibilities Phone Engagement and Opportunity Development • Conduct professional B2B phone conversations with prospects, customers, and influencers across targeted industries. • Identify qualified sales opportunities and schedule meetings for client sales teams. • Engage decision-makers using conversation frameworks rather than scripted selling approaches. • Gather insights about buying processes, organizational structure, business needs, and competitive situations. • Identify new contacts, replacements, influencers, and decision-makers within target accounts. • Capture prospect feedback, objections, market intelligence, and opportunity signals from every conversation. • Support lead qualification and nurturing efforts for campaigns tied to digital marketing, events, webinars, trade shows, and marketing automation programs. \ Program Leadership and Team Management • Lead and coach a team of Phone Engagement Representatives. • Conduct training sessions and ongoing call coaching to improve engagement quality and results. • Monitor individual and program performance against campaign objectives. • Ensure consistent execution of client messaging, conversation platforms, and data collection requirements. • Assist with onboarding and development of new team members. • Create a culture focused on quality conversations, accurate intelligence gathering, and client success. Client Engagement • Participate in client strategy sessions, status meetings, and performance reviews. • Serve as the primary phone engagement expert for assigned accounts. • Collaborate with account managers and strategists to develop campaign approaches and optimization recommendations. • Provide clients with actionable insights gathered through direct market conversations. • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders through proactive communication and program leadership. Reporting and Analytics • Own reporting and performance tracking for assigned phone engagement programs. • Analyze and communicate key performance indicators, including: o Contact rates o Meaningful conversations o Qualified opportunities o Appointments scheduled o Data enhancement results o List accuracy improvements o Lead progression metrics • Deliver clear program summaries, recommendations, and strategic insights to clients and internal stakeholders. • Maintain accurate CRM and campaign documentation. Program Ownership and Continuous Improvement • Take full responsibility for achieving program objectives and client outcomes. • Recommend improvements to targeting, messaging, conversation strategies, and workflows. • Collaborate with demand generation teams to align phone engagement efforts with broader marketing initiatives. • Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and implement changes to improve results. • Help clients shorten sales cycles, increase opportunity creation, and improve pipeline performance. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of B2B phone engagement, appointment setting, lead qualification, SDR, BDR, or inside sales experience. • 2+ years of team leadership, coaching, or supervisory experience. • Demonstrated success engaging business decision-makers by phone. • Strong ability to conduct consultative business conversations in technical or complex industries. • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills. • Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation abilities. • Experience participating in client-facing meetings. • Proficiency with CRM platforms and marketing technology systems. • Exceptional organization, accountability, and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in a B2B demand generation or marketing agency environment. • Background supporting industrial, manufacturing, technology, engineering, or professional services clients. • Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, Oracle, or similar CRM platforms. • Familiarity with marketing automation, lead scoring, and lead nurturing programs.
