I need a broadcast-style spreader purpose-built for pasture management that can handle well-aged, slightly moist compost without clogging, bridging, or leaving windrows. The unit should throw an even pattern across a workable swath so I can cover paddocks efficiently in a single pass, and it must be gentle enough not to pulverise the organic matter. Key requirements • Material handled: screened compost, medium moisture content • Terrain: undulating pasture, tractor-pulled (80 HP-100 HP tractor, 540 RPM PTO available and remote hydraulics) • Mechanism: true broadcast (spinner) system with adjustable gate and pattern control I am looking for complete engineering drawings and a concise parts list ready for fabrication, including bearings, chain drives or hydraulic motors, hopper specs, and corrosion-resistant finishes. A brief user guide describing calibration for different application rates will round out the package. I’ll review the design against two acceptance points: 1) ability to spread 5 t/ha uniformly over a 10 m swath during a field test, and 2) hopper emptying cleanly without bridging when loaded with damp compost. Provide files in STEP and PDF, plus any native CAD you use (SolidWorks preferred but not mandatory).
