I have a set of PDF files that contain plain text which I need transferred into Excel. The goal is straightforward: move the content over, keep it legible, and preserve the natural layout of the information using standard spreadsheet formatting—nothing bespoke or heavily styled. I am comfortable with a basic accuracy range of roughly 80-89 %, so manual key-checks or light OCR cleanup is acceptable. What matters most is that columns line up, rows stay consistent from one sheet to the next, and the final workbook is easy for me to sort, filter, and analyse. Adobe Acrobat, any reliable OCR tool, or direct copy-paste paired with solid Microsoft Excel skills will all work. I just need someone who knows the common pitfalls of PDF extraction—random line breaks, merged cells, lost characters—and can handle them quickly.
