We are looking for an Intermediate PHP Software Engineer who enjoys understanding complex systems, solving business problems and working within a structured software engineering environment. Initially, this position will require approximately 20 hours per week, with the possibility of increasing the workload as the relationship develops. You will work alongside our existing Software Developer and management team using WhatsApp, Trello, Git and documented development processes. Our current developer has primarily worked independently and has not previously worked within a team-based Git workflow. As part of this role, you will assist with establishing and reinforcing collaborative development practices, including Git usage and provide guidance and support to help our existing developer become comfortable working within a shared development environment. During your first week or so you will become familiar with our architecture, database structure, documentation and development standards before progressively taking ownership of development tasks.
