Powerful String Documentary Score

The film exposes decades of neglect and exploitation suffered by Niagara Falls, New York, and every frame needs to seethe with that injustice. What I need is a completely original score built almost entirely around string textures—violins and cellos taking the lead—to channel a focused, simmering anger rather than melancholy or simple tension. The arc runs roughly 40 minutes, broken into six thematic sections that match the documentary’s structure. Expect sharp, dissonant motifs for the historical footage, heavier low-cello pulses when state policy is discussed, and brief, uneasy swells to underscore residents’ testimonies. Percussive bowing, col legno, and aggressive tremolo techniques are welcome, but brass, piano, and electronic elements should stay minimal or absent so the string voice remains dominant. Stems, a final stereo master, and a cue sheet are needed no later than four weeks from contract start. Please deliver in 48 kHz/24-bit WAV plus project files for any major DAW you use (Logic, Cubase, or Pro Tools all fine). I’ll handle the final mix to dialogue, so your tracks should arrive clean, well-labeled, and free of limiting on the master buss. The moment the score evokes unmistakable anger—without overshadowing narration—we’re in business.
