I’m about to go sale-agreed on a terraced house in Dublin and need a comprehensive pre-purchase structural survey carried out before I commit. The main goal is a full structural assessment of the property so that I understand any hidden or future issues and can budget accordingly. The inspection should cover all critical elements—foundations, walls, floors, roof, internal supports, damp ingress, signs of movement, and anything else that could affect structural integrity. I’m expecting an experienced chartered structural engineer or building surveyor who is familiar with Dublin’s housing stock and the typical issues found in older terraces.
