Descripción de la oferta

I am looking for an experienced accountant, forensic accountant, CPA, chartered accountant, CFE, trust accountant, estate accountant, or fiduciary-accounting professional to carry out a limited preliminary review of trust/accounting documents. This is a small, fixed-price first-stage review for $250. It is not a request for legal advice, tax advice, bookkeeping, or a formal court expert report at this stage. I need an accounting-focused review to help a trust beneficiary understand whether the documents appear complete, internally consistent, and properly supported. The goal is to identify missing documents, unexplained figures, accounting gaps, reconciliation issues, trustee/professional fee issues, related-party transactions, and questions that should be put to the trustee/accountant. Scope of work The selected freelancer will review a limited bundle of trust/accounting-related documents and prepare a short written issues memo identifying: whether the accounting appears complete or incomplete; what key documents appear to be missing; whether the figures appear to reconcile across the documents; unexplained transfers, loans, distributions, trustee fees, professional fees, or related-party transactions; whether supporting bank statements, brokerage statements, tax returns, ledgers, investment statements, or fee schedules should be requested; accounting questions that should be asked of the trustee/accountant; any obvious accounting red flags that a beneficiary should understand. First-stage deliverable For this first milestone, I am looking for a concise plain-English memo, approximately 3–5 pages, including: list of documents reviewed; summary of what the accounting appears to show; missing-document checklist; reconciliation or consistency concerns; unexplained transactions or unusual entries; questions for the trustee/accountant; suggested follow-up document requests. This is intended as a preliminary triage review, not a full forensic investigation. Preferred qualifications Please apply only if you have relevant experience in one or more of the following: forensic accounting; trust accounting; estate/probate accounting; fiduciary accounting; investment-account review; bank or brokerage statement review; litigation-support accounting; CPA / chartered accountant / CFE or similar professional background. Experience with trust, estate, probate, fiduciary, or investment accounting is strongly preferred. Confidentiality requirements The documents may be confidential and may be subject to a court protective order. Before receiving any documents, the selected freelancer must agree in writing that: all documents and information will be treated as confidential; documents will be used only for this project; documents will not be shared with anyone else; the work will not be subcontracted; documents will not be uploaded into ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Copilot, Perplexity, or any other AI/LLM tool; documents will not be uploaded into third-party analysis systems without written permission; documents will be deleted or returned at the end of the project if requested; the freelancer has no conflict of interest. The selected freelancer may also be required to sign a short confidentiality undertaking attached to a court protective order before receiving the documents. You may use normal professional tools such as Excel, PDF software, accounting software, calculators, and document review tools, provided confidential documents are not uploaded into public AI/LLM systems or unauthorised third-party platforms. Proposal requirements In your proposal, please answer the following: What is your accounting, forensic accounting, trust accounting, estate accounting, or fiduciary accounting experience? Do you hold any credentials such as CPA, chartered accountant, CFE, or similar? Have you reviewed trust, estate, probate, fiduciary, bank, brokerage, or investment-accounting documents before? For this fixed-price first-stage review, what exactly would you review and what deliverable would you provide? How many pages/documents can you reasonably review within the fixed price? What is your turnaround time? Are you willing to sign a confidentiality undertaking before receiving documents? Will you confirm that you will not use public AI/LLM tools or subcontract the work? Do you have any conflict of interest that would prevent you from reviewing a trust/probate accounting dispute? Please do not provide legal advice. I am seeking accounting/document-review assistance only.
