Job Title: Python Developer – Multi‑Session Browser Automation & Residential Proxy Integration (QA/Testing) Project Overview We are developing an internal testing framework for our company’s own web applications. Our tool launches multiple simulated user sessions (multi‑ID / multi‑profile) simultaneously to: · Validate region‑specific content, language localisation, and geo‑targeted features. · Test session isolation and concurrency handling under realistic network conditions. · Perform load and reliability checks by distributing traffic across diverse IP origins. Our current Python/Playwright stack already handles single‑session browser launches with realistic user‑simulation (typing delays, idle times). We now need an experienced developer to: 1. Enable true multi‑session concurrency – managing 10+ browser profiles running in parallel without conflicts. 2. Integrate residential proxy rotation – so each concurrent session gets a unique residential IP (from a provider we will supply). Proxies must be rotated per session, with automatic failover if an endpoint becomes unresponsive. Key Responsibilities · Review our existing codebase (Playwright + Python) and the browser‑launch entry point. · Design a session orchestrator that: · Spawns multiple browser contexts simultaneously (using asyncio or threading). · Assigns a distinct residential proxy (HTTP/HTTPS/SOCKS5 with auth) to each new context via Playwright’s proxy parameter. · Implements rotation logic (e.g., round‑robin, random, or sticky‑per‑profile). · Handles proxy timeouts/errors gracefully – retries with a different IP without crashing other running sessions. · Ensure complete isolation between concurrent profiles (separate cookies, storage, localStorage). · Add detailed logging per session (which proxy was used, response times, errors). · Make proxy lists and rotation strategies configurable via external JSON/YAML files. · Deliver clean, well‑tested code (unit + integration tests for concurrency). Required Skills · Python 3.8+ – strong knowledge of async programming (asyncio) or multithreading. · Playwright – deep experience with browser.new_context(), proxy settings, and managing multiple contexts in parallel. · Proxy integration – hands‑on experience integrating residential or datacenter proxy pools (with authentication) into automation pipelines. · Concurrency patterns – proven ability to run multiple headless/headed browser instances simultaneously. · Solid error‑handling and logging practices. · Clear written English and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Nice to Have · Experience with proxy rotation services (e.g., BrightData, Oxylabs, Smartproxy). · Familiarity with Docker / containerised test environments.
