Backlink Building Specialist (Freelance / Performance-Based) — GeoRankers Type: Freelance / Ongoing | Location: Remote About GeoRankers We help B2B SaaS companies understand how AI engines like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity describe their brand to potential buyers and go beyond a visibility score to verify whether a specific fix actually moved the needle. We're an early-stage, fast-moving startup building our SEO and organic presence from the ground up. What we need We're looking for an experienced link builder to run a monthly, quality-first backlink acquisition process for our website. This is not a bulk link-placement gig, we care about a small number of real, relevant, high-quality links over a large number of throwaway ones. If your pitch involves PBNs, link farms, paid link networks, or guaranteed link counts with no quality context, this isn't the right fit. What you'll be doing Identify and secure backlink opportunities from topically relevant sites: SaaS, B2B marketing, martech, startup/founder publications, and adjacent categories Execute via legitimate channels: guest posting, HARO/journalist-style outreach, resource-page outreach, partnerships, and other white-hat methods Vet every prospective site for Domain Rating/Authority, real organic traffic, and topical relevance before pitching or placing Report monthly on referring domains added, DR/DA of each, anchor text used, and placement context (not just a raw link count) Flag any link opportunity that looks borderline (low-quality directory, suspicious exchange, etc.) rather than placing it by default Pay structure Performance-based, paid monthly against verified referring domains that meet our quality bar: Minimum DR/DA of 25 and topical relevance required for a placement to count Target: 4–6 qualifying referring domains per month. Placements at DR 40+ are weighted 1.5–2x toward this target and we'd rather reward fewer, stronger links than a higher count of borderline ones Links must be live and verifiable at time of payment Links that go dead or are removed within 60 days of placement will be deducted from the following month's count, not clawed back retroactively Open to proposals on rate per qualifying referring domain — please include your typical monthly output and quality benchmarks in your pitch. What we're looking for Demonstrated experience in white-hat link building for SaaS, tech, or B2B companies: portfolio or case studies required Working knowledge of Ahrefs, Moz, or Semrush for prospecting and vetting Clear, honest reporting: we'd rather know the real number than a padded one Understanding of what actually moves rankings vs. what just moves a vanity metric Bonus: experience specifically with early-stage/startup SEO, or in the marketing tech / SaaS tools space To apply Share 2–3 examples of backlinks you've placed for a SaaS or B2B client (site, DR at time of placement, and result if known), and your proposed monthly rate structure.
