I need a secure hardware wallet built on a Raspberry Pi 4 that not only stores roughly forty major cryptocurrencies and supports on-device swaps, but—most important—links directly to any U.S. bank for near-instant fiat transfers. The core of the assignment is the banking side: the wallet must speak to the ACH network natively, without relying on third-party payment processors. Here is the flow I have in mind. From the physical wallet’s touchscreen and buttons a user selects “Send to Bank,” enters an amount, confirms, and the device pushes a properly formatted NACHA file (or equivalent API call) straight into the ACH rails so funds clear as fast as the network allows. The reverse—pulling dollars in—should feel just as seamless. Keys, signatures, and NACHA file generation all have to live on the Pi so nothing sensitive leaves the hardware. To meet that goal you’ll architect the following: • Hardened Pi 4 OS image with secure boot, encrypted storage, and a minimal UI. • Multi-coin engine able to hold and transact with the top ~40 coins (Bitcoin, ETH, ERC-20, XRP, LTC, etc.) plus an internal swap feature. • ACH module that builds, validates, and transmits transactions directly against the network, following current NACHA rules. • Physical interface code for the wallet’s screen, buttons, and optional fingerprint sensor. Acceptance criteria • End-to-end test where I move BTC to the device, swap to USD-backed stablecoin, and ACH out to a linked U.S. checking account in one session. • Full source, repeatable build scripts, and concise README. • Security review notes covering key storage, ACH compliance, and attack surface. If you’ve worked with Raspberry Pi, crypto libraries, and ACH/NACHA formatting, I’d like to see how you would tackle this and an estimated timeline to a working prototype.
