I have a finished vertical video that needs to be reformatted into a horizontal, 16:9 layout for television. The focus is on reformatting the video to ensure no black sidebars are visible and maintaining proper composition. The output should meet broadcast standards, with audio perfectly synced and everything within title-safe and action-safe zones. You’ll start with my existing vertical master (4K H.264, 30 fps). From there: • Re-frame and scale the footage so the core action fills a horizontal 1920 × 1080 frame without looking stretched. Use tasteful background adjustments where necessary. • Conform audio levels to broadcast spec (-24 LKFS, ±2 dB) and leave two seconds of pre- and post-roll tone and slate. • Export a single ProRes 422 HQ .mov at 29.97 fps, ready for direct ingest into the network’s playout server.
