My utility patent missed its maintenance payment that was originally due in October 2025. I did not discover the lapse until the grace-period reminder from my former attorney—dated 29 March 2026—was finally opened, by which time the patent had already expired. The non-payment was completely inadvertent, and I have email records to prove both the attorney’s notice and the circumstances surrounding the delay. I now need a U.S.-licensed patent attorney to take over the matter and secure reinstatement under micro-entity status. I can supply the original file history, PTO correspondence, proof of micro-entity qualification, and the attorney emails. What I still lack—and need you to prepare—are: • a properly drafted Statement of Unintentional Delay, and • the paperwork for the petition fee payment (micro-entity rate). Your core task is to file the petition to revive the patent and manage any follow-up with the USPTO until a definitive decision issues.
