Remote Control RC Truck Via Internet

Hi there! Hope you're doing well. I have a hobby-grade RC truck (thinking Traxxas Stampede or a similar 4WD model) and I'd love to turn it into something I can drive remotely over the internet — not just the usual short-range radio control, but actually control it from another country, with minimal delay. The basic idea is to swap out the stock RC receiver for a Raspberry Pi (or something similar), so instead of a normal remote, I could control it through a simple web page or app from anywhere with an internet connection. A few things I'm hoping you can help with: Getting the Pi talking to the truck's existing motor controller and steering servo Setting up a low-latency connection (something like WebRTC) so the controls feel responsive even over long distances A simple interface (web page is totally fine) with basic forward/back/steering controls Recommending what hardware I'd need to buy (Pi, driver board, 4G modem if needed, etc.) and roughly what it would all cost Ideally, the whole thing should just work on its own once it's set up — connecting to the internet automatically without anyone needing to be physically there I'm pretty new to this, so I'd really appreciate your patience and guidance along the way! Happy to answer any questions about the specific truck model, and open to starting small with just basic movement control before adding anything else. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts — including a rough idea of cost and timeline. Thanks so much!
