My front wooden exterior door has a few damaged components that need expert repair so it can operate smoothly and look presentable again. The door itself is solid wood; hinges, frame and perhaps a section of the lower panel have suffered wear and a recent knock that threw them out of alignment. I need someone who can assess the damage on-site, source or mill matching wooden parts if necessary, reinstall or replace the hardware, and leave the door closing firmly without drafts or sticking. Please bring the tools and materials you normally rely on for wood door restoration—chisels, plane, router, replacement hinges or screws—and let me know in advance if any special parts must be ordered. A quick outline of what you plan to do and how long the work will take will help me schedule access to the property. Photos of similar repairs you’ve completed are welcome. The job is complete when the door sits square in the frame, latches properly, and the repaired area blends in with the existing finish.
