This project centres on creating a complete electrical system design for my new residential build, with solar generation at its heart. I already know the load profile I want to support—full-house coverage with battery backup—so the focus is on engineering a code-compliant, efficient solution that integrates rooftop PV, hybrid inverter, storage, and the existing utility feed. You will translate those requirements into a full set of construction-ready documents: single-line and wiring diagrams, panel schedules, conduit/cable sizing, grounding strategy, and a bill of materials. The design must satisfy local residential codes and the utility’s interconnection guidelines while maximising energy harvest and safety. Please work in whichever professional tool you are comfortable with—AutoCAD, Revit, or similar for drawings and perhaps PVsyst or Helioscope for generation modelling—so long as the final files are editable and all calculations (load, voltage-drop, fault-current, arc-flash where applicable) are transparent. Acceptance criteria • Complete drawing set in DWG/PDF formats • Load, voltage-drop, and generation calculations in an accompanying spreadsheet or report • Compliance notes referencing the latest NEC/local amendments • Bill of materials with manufacturer part numbers and quantities If any information is missing—roof layout, main service rating, zoning details—flag it early so we can keep the schedule tight.
