My Windows-based desktop needs a little rescue work. After resetting Photoshop’s preferences I not only ended up with a cluttered workspace but also lost several third-party Photoshop plugins. They were small-vendor, older tools whose names I never wrote down, so I can’t simply re-download them. Here’s what I need from you: • Clean and organise the desktop and general file structure so everything is easy to find again. • Inspect the system for remnants of the lost plugins—old install folders, hidden presets, registry entries, DLLs, anything that can help reconstruct or reinstall them. • If full recovery isn’t possible, identify equivalent replacements or recreate the functionality through scripts/actions. • Document the steps you took so I can keep things tidy and avoid losing tools in the future. Also checking for viruses or spam The machine runs Windows, and at the moment I’m unsure whether any usable backups exist, so please be ready to explore System Restore points, previous-version folders or other forensic avenues before we assume they’re gone for good.
