I need to turn two raw sources—transaction records and product-level inventory—into clear, actionable insight on overall sales performance. The files currently live in Excel and a few CSV exports; I’m comfortable if you stage them in SQL or work directly in Python/Pandas for the heavy data cleaning, as long as the end result is tidy, well-documented tables that can refresh easily. Once the data is reliable, I want an interactive Power BI dashboard that highlights core KPIs such as revenue, units sold, gross margin, stock-on-hand, and inventory turnover. Drilling from high-level trends down to individual SKUs or store locations should feel seamless, with filters for date ranges and product categories. Deliverables • Cleaned, joined dataset (Excel or SQL dump plus Python script / notebook) • Power BI file (.pbix) with fully formatted visuals, slicers, and DAX measures • A short analytic report or narrated walkthrough that explains the findings, key metrics, and how to refresh the data I’ll provide sample files and field definitions once we start. Code needs to run without hard-coded paths, and visuals should follow our brand palette (I’ll share the HEX codes).
