Descripción de la oferta

I have a proven 9.4 m (940 cm) catamaran hull that was originally drawn around twin 200 hp outboards. The brief is to re-engineer that concept so it performs efficiently, safely, and confidently with two 50 hp engines instead. Key requirements • Hull, deck, and structural plans must be recalculated for the reduced power, with particular attention to displacement, drag, and weight distribution so the boat planes easily at modest throttle and cruises comfortably in mixed sea states. • Construction will be in fiberglass; although earlier versions explored aluminium or wood, the production run for this project will rely on GRP techniques, so laminate schedules, core selection, and resin usage need to be fully detailed. • The working layout must retain a generous open deck, giving divers and deckhands uncluttered space to kit-up, handle gear, and move loads. Deliverables – Full CAD model (SolidWorks, Rhino, or comparable) and 2D build drawings. – Hydrostatic and hydrodynamic calculations showing predicted speed, fuel burn, stability, and trim with the 2 × 50 hp set-up. – Structural scantling report aligned with ISO or ABS small-craft standards. – Weight study identifying all major components and their centres of gravity. – Renderings or simple visualisations of the revised deck layout. Acceptance criteria The design should demonstrate at least 18 knots top speed at full payload, maintain positive stability with one hull flooded, and keep total boat weight within limits. Please specify the software you intend to use and any relevant past catamaran or low-power optimisation experience when you respond.
