Digital Investigation – Identify Online Scammer Using Email Address and Related Evidence I am looking for an experienced digital investigator or OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence) specialist to assist with identifying an individual who appears to have defrauded me in an online vehicle purchase. Background I paid a €10,000 deposit by bank transfer for a BMW that was advertised for sale. After the payment was made, the seller stopped fulfilling his promises, and I have since discovered that the vehicle advertisement, videos, and company information appear to have been fraudulent. Evidence suggests that the seller used the identity of a legitimate BMW dealership and falsely claimed ownership of the vehicle. The matter has already been reported to the police, and I am looking for a professional who can legally gather additional intelligence that may help identify the individual responsible. All work must be conducted using lawful investigative methods. Information Available I can provide: * The email address used by the suspect. * Email correspondence. * Phone number(s), if relevant. * Bank transfer details. * Videos and photographs sent by the suspect. * The sales contract and other supporting documents. * Any additional information that may assist the investigation. Scope of Work I am looking for someone who can legally investigate the available information and provide a detailed report, including where possible: * Verify the authenticity and history of the email address. * Identify publicly available accounts associated with the email. * Determine whether the email has appeared in previous data breaches or online records. * Investigate usernames, aliases, domains, and other digital footprints connected to the email. * Analyse email headers (if available) for technical information. * Determine whether any IP address information can be extracted from the provided evidence. * Analyse supplied videos or images for metadata or location clues, where possible. * Search for links between the provided information and other online identities. * Highlight any inconsistencies or indicators of fraud. * Suggest additional lawful avenues that may assist the police investigation. Deliverable A comprehensive written report containing: * All findings. * Supporting evidence and sources. * Confidence level for each finding. * Recommendations for further legal investigation by law enforcement. Requirements * Experience in OSINT, digital forensics, or cyber investigations. * Familiarity with email analysis, metadata examination, and online identity research. * Ability to document findings clearly and professionally. * Strictly lawful investigative methods only. I am not seeking hacking, unauthorized access, malware deployment, phishing, or any other illegal activity.
