Selenium UI Test Automation

Regression is starting to bottleneck each release of my web application, so I’m bringing in Selenium expertise to turn our current manual UI checks into a reliable automated suite. The focus is exclusively on UI tests; there is no API or service-layer work needed right now. The suite has to execute on Windows against the latest stable builds of Chrome and Firefox. If you normally script against other browsers that’s fine, but only those two need to pass before every merge. I’m flexible on programming language and framework wrappers—Java + TestNG, Python + PyTest, C# + NUnit, or another mainstream setup are all acceptable as long as the code is clean, readable, and easy for my team to extend later. Make sure locators are resilient, waits are explicit, and test data is externalised so we can rerun the suite in different environments without code changes. Deliverables • A runnable Selenium project with at least a handful of representative UI scenarios automated (login, primary user flow, and a negative test). • A short README that explains how to install dependencies, set configuration values, and run the tests from the command line on Windows. • A video or screenshots from a sample run in both Chrome and Firefox, proving the tests pass. I’ll review by cloning the repository, running `mvn test`/`pytest` (or your equivalent command), and confirming green results in both browsers. Once that’s successful, we can discuss expanding coverage in a follow-up milestone.
