I’m building a full-featured, self-hosted email validation service that mirrors the speed and user experience of BounceCheck.net. Above all, I need exceptionally accurate real-time SMTP mailbox verification: results must be returned quickly, with clear Valid / Invalid / Risky / Unknown labels and granular diagnostics for each address. Core functions to replicate • Single email lookup from the dashboard • Bulk processing that accepts both CSV and TXT uploads without size limits typical of 30 k+ rows • MX, DNS, catch-all and disposable detection running in the same pass • Deliverability and risk scoring calculated from the combined checks Platform expectations – A responsive user dashboard that shows credit usage, job history, downloadable reports and the per-email drill-down. – REST API offering the same checks, protected by API keys with configurable daily / monthly limits. – Admin area to create or revoke keys, view system metrics and queue performance, and adjust plan thresholds. – Processing engine must be multithreaded or event-driven so a medium VPS can handle thousands of verifications per minute. Deliverables 1. Source code for web app and worker services (language and framework of your choice, but list the stack you’ll use). 2. Database schema and migration scripts. 3. Docker or equivalent deployment scripts so I can spin it up on a fresh server. 4. API documentation (Swagger / OpenAPI preferred) plus a quick-start example in cURL. 5. Final test run validating at least 10 k mixed addresses, with a summary showing match rates against BounceCheck.net for reference. I’ll provide root SSH access to a staging server and any SMTP probing IPs that need allow-listing. Please outline your proposed tech stack, timeline and any experience you have with email hygiene tools or SMTP-level programming.
