About the Division The Merit Protection Boards (MPB)is an independent statutory body established by the Education and Training Reform Act (2006) to hear and determine grievances from employees of the Victorian Government Teaching Service. The MPB considers selection and personal grievances from eligible employees, trains teaching service staff in the principles of merit and equity, and provides advice to the Department of Education.
