As a Senior FP&A Controller, you will play a key role in driving the company’s financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis processes. This is a highly operational and hands-on role with a clear focus on FP&A excellence, ensuring high-quality financial transparency and actionable insights for decision-making.You will work closely with the Head of Controlling and business stakeholders across the organisation to translate operational performance into financial outcomes. Your work will directly influence short- and mid-term steering of the business by delivering reliable forecasts, deep-dive analyses, and clear financial narratives.The role offers future leadership potential, including the opportunity to take on responsibility for a junior team member as the function grows.What is your Day to Day Mission:Financial Planning & ForecastingSupport and drive the annual budgeting process across departmentsMaintain and continuously improve the rolling forecast, ensuring accuracy and timely updatesPrepare mid-term financial plans and support long-range planning processesDevelop and run scenario analyses (e.g. sensitivities, what-if analyses) to support business decisionsOperational Performance Reporting & InsightsEstablish and drive operational reporting cadences, including weekly KPI check-ins with key stakeholdersMonitor financial and operational KPIs, ensuring full transparency on performance, risks, and opportunitiesPerform ongoing variance and trend analyses based on latest operational data and forecastsTranslate data into clear, actionable insights to support timely decision-makingSupport the preparation of ad-hoc analyses and management updates outside of formal MEC reporting cyclesBusiness PartneringAct as a financial partner to selected departments, supporting them in planning and performance trackingChallenge assumptions and provide financial guidance to improve decision-makingBuild financial models and business cases (e.g. cost initiatives, investments, headcount planning)Data, Tools & ProcessesWork with and further develop planning and forecasting tools (e.g. Anaplan)Ensure data consistency between FP&A tools, BI systems, and ERPContribute to the automation and standardisation of FP&A processesImprove data quality and reporting efficiency on an ongoing basis What you bring to the team:Have 4–7 years of experience in FP&A / Controlling, with a strong operational focusHave hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modellingAre confident working with modern planning tools (Anaplan is a strong plus)Have strong analytical skills and attention to detail, combined with a business mindsetAre able to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendationsAre comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentCommunicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholdersAre fluent in English (German is a plus)Nice to HaveInitial leadership or mentoring experience, or strong motivation to take on leadership responsibilityExperience in a scaling or transformation environmentExposure to BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)Basic knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Python)Professional qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA)What Success Looks LikeAccurate, reliable, and forward-looking forecasts and financial plansHigh-frequency, transparent operational performance tracking enabling fast decision-makingStrong collaboration with business stakeholders, enabling better performance steeringReadiness to take on leadership responsibility as the team expandsContinuous improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and data qualityWhy Quantum-Systems:A key role in a high-growth tech company shaping the future of autonomous systems.Exposure to C-level leadership, board reporting, and strategic finance decision-making.Opportunity to design and implement scalable FP&A infrastructure for a global enterprise.Competitive compensation, personal development opportunities, and hybrid working flexibility.We believe in the power of combined efforts: straightforward tech expertise paired with a customer-centric focus.We are industry pioneers who are ambitious, bold, and visionary.
